This page covers how Wander handles your data and the basic rules for using the app. We've kept it short on purpose — please reach out at info@wanderapp.ca if anything is unclear.
Privacy
What we collect
- Account info: email address, display name, and (optionally) first/last name when you sign up.
- Location data: your device's location, only while you're using the app, to show nearby parks. We do not track your location in the background.
- Content you create: reviews, photos, and notes you save against parks.
- Diagnostic data: anonymized crash and performance information via Sentry to help us fix bugs.
What we don't collect
- We do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not use third-party analytics SDKs.
Where data lives
Account data is stored with Supabase (US region). Park data, reviews, and photos are stored on Railway (US East). Backups are written nightly to Cloudflare R2 with 30-day retention.
Your rights
You can sign out, delete your account, or request a copy of your data at any time by contacting us at info@wanderapp.ca.
Children
Wander is intended for adults choosing where to take their families. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a child has created an account, please contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We'll update this page when we change anything material. Substantial changes will be flagged in the app.
Terms
By using Wander, you agree to the following:
Use of the service
- You may use Wander for personal, non-commercial use.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of content you submit (reviews, photos, attribute edits).
- Don't submit content that's illegal, harassing, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Don't scrape, copy in bulk, or republish the park database without permission.
Your content
You keep ownership of reviews and photos you submit. By submitting them you grant Wander a non-exclusive license to display them within the app to other users.
Accuracy & safety
Park information is sourced from public datasets, contributors, and automated enrichment. We don't guarantee that any specific equipment, amenity, or condition described in the app actually exists at the location today. Use your judgment, especially around safety.
Availability
Wander is provided as-is. We may change, suspend, or end the service at any time, with reasonable notice where practical.
